Vivekananda College is a government college in East Delhi, started in 1970. It was opened by the Government of NCT of Delhi to give higher education to students, especially girls, in nearby areas like North East Delhi, Ghaziabad, and Gautam Buddha Nagar. The college is in Vivek Vihar and is well-known for giving quality education. It is part of the University of Delhi and has a Grade ‘A’ rating from NAAC. When the college first began, it had only one course—B.A (General)—and around 300 students. Now, the college teaches over 2000 students every year in many subjects.
Vivekananda College is named after Swami Vivekananda, who believed in education that builds both knowledge and strong character. The college follows his values and aims to help students grow as good human beings. There are over 100 teachers who help students in their studies. These teachers are kind and ready to help students both in and outside the classroom.
To help students learn better, the college has built a new academic block. This was done because the number of students from the Trans-Yamuna area has increased. The college offers both undergraduate and postgraduate courses now. Students come from many areas to study here because it is trusted, safe, and has good teaching. The college not only focuses on books but also encourages students to join cultural and sports activities. Students also take part in debates, music, and social work.
Vivekananda College is a great choice for girls looking to get higher education in a supportive and peaceful environment. It is proud of its students, teachers, and success. The college gives the right mix of learning, values, and future career help.
