Indian Institute of Management Nagpur, one of India’s newer IIMs, founded in 2015, launched its Pune satellite campus in 2023. This extension is located near Pune University and operates from the premises of Vaikunth Mehta National Institute of Cooperative Management. The campus is primarily aimed at serving working professionals with specialized management programs under the academic governance of IIM Nagpur.

Programs offered at the Pune center include the Executive MBA (Hybrid)—also called MBA for Working Professionals—along with a Post Graduate Programme in Transport Management and various Executive Education Programmes. These courses are tailored to suit mid-career professionals and senior executives looking to upgrade their skills.

Applicants for the Executive MBA must hold a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks and possess a minimum of three years of full-time work experience. The program uses a blended format, combining weekend classroom sessions with online learning over two years.

The Pune campus functions under the academic and administrative control of IIM Nagpur, which is a centrally funded public institution recognized by the Government of India. While a permanent campus in Pimpri-Chinchwad is in planning stages, the current setup offers modern infrastructure, including classrooms, hostel access, a library, computer labs, and auditoriums, ensuring a conducive learning environment.
