The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has officially announced the exam dates for the RRB NTPC (Undergraduate) Computer-Based Test 2 (CBT 2) 2025. As per the latest update, the CBT 2 for shortlisted candidates of the NTPC UG category will be held in January 2025. The announcement comes as a crucial update for aspirants awaiting the next recruitment phase under the Indian Railways.
According to the official RRB notification, the detailed schedule, including city intimation links and exam centers, will be available soon on regional RRB websites. Candidates are advised to regularly check the official portals for accurate updates.
A significant change in this year’s process is the mandatory Aadhaar verification at the exam venue. The RRB clarified that Aadhaar-based biometric authentication will be implemented strictly for all candidates before entry into the examination hall. This move aims to enhance transparency and ensure fair conduct during the recruitment process.
Candidates are required to bring their original Aadhaar card along with their admit card to the exam center. Those without an Aadhaar card should update or download the e-Aadhaar from the official UIDAI website well before the exam date. Without valid Aadhaar authentication, entry will not be permitted.
The admit cards for RRB NTPC UG CBT 2 will be released approximately one week before the exam date. Alongside, the RRB will provide the link for candidates to check their city intimation details and date of examination. This facility helps aspirants make travel arrangements in time.
Candidates should verify all details mentioned on the admit card carefully, including their name, photograph, venue, shift timing, and reporting time. Any discrepancy should be reported immediately to the respective regional RRB.
The CBT 2 for the NTPC Undergraduate category will focus on topics such as general awareness, mathematics, and general intelligence and reasoning. The total number of questions and marking scheme will follow the same format as prescribed for the CBT 1 exam but with an increased difficulty level aimed at evaluating candidates more rigorously.
Candidates are also advised to reach the examination center at least 60 minutes before the reporting time. No electronic devices, calculators, or stationery items other than pens will be allowed inside the exam hall. Failure to comply with the Aadhaar verification or photo ID requirements may lead to disqualification.
The RRB has cautioned candidates against relying on unofficial information circulating on social media. All verified notifications will be published exclusively on regional RRB websites.
