National Institute of Technology (NIT) Manipur is a centrally funded technical institution established in 2010. Recognized as an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India, it is located in the scenic region of Lamphelpat, Imphal. The institute was founded with the vision to offer quality technical education and to foster innovation and research in the northeastern part of the country.
Despite being relatively new compared to older NITs, NIT Manipur has shown rapid academic progress and infrastructural development.
